ABUCK, Inc. is based in Atlanta, GA and has been serving the Southeastern United States since 1973 in providing construction services to the Commercial, Industrial, Power Generation and Distribution, Natural Gas, and Food Service Industries. We are a full service Design/Build General Contractor, specializing in projects utilizing low rise Commercial Structures. We have successfully completed over 4000 projects from 100 sq. ft. to 108,000 sq. ft. with a total value over $150.0 million and over 4.0 million sq. ft.
At ABUCK, we stress teamwork to achieve the extraordinary. Our project management staff has an average experience level of nearly 25 years! We have also developed long-standing relationships with a team of qualified engineers and subcontractors to assist our staff. These relationships have been a great asset for ABUCK and our clients.
The design process begins with determining our client's business and financial needs. The ABUCK Design Team meets with a prospective client to discuss his requirements and his budget. We inspect the site. We then investigate his processes to determine the best use of his available space. We confer with local authorities regarding regulations and restrictions. We then create a building design that meets and/or exceeds those needs.
We maintain liability insurance policies that exceed government regulations as well as our clients requirements. In addition, we carry an $11 million dollar umbrella policy to compliment those policies. Surety bonding can also be provided to meet your corporate or underwriters' requirements. Our bond rates are very competitive and we usually have an excess of bonding capacity to meet our work-in-progress volumes. We can currently bond in excess of seven million dollars on a single contract.
Safety is a major focus at ABUCK. Our safety program and employee training exceed all OSHA requirements. Our lead safety officer receives continuing education to stay current with the latest regulations. He conducts regularly scheduled training seminars with our other safety professionals and our field personnel to insure zero workplace injuries. As a result, we have a safety modification rate of .78, the lowest a contractor our size can receive! We take great pride in this achievement. We also maintain a drug-free workplace for our employees and subcontractors. All prospective employees are screened prior to hiring. Thereafter, everyone from office staff to field personnel and fabrication staff, are screened at least bi-yearly.
