BUILDING AREA: 1st Floor Office/Bunk - 2,940 SF; Apparatus Bay - 3,328 SF; 2nd Floor Shell/Attic - 1,930/760 SF
Building Construction: Architectural requirements of Big Canoe and overall project budget being critical, Abuck combined conventional wood-framed construction for the Office and Bunk area and Metal Building frame for the Apparatus Bay which is separated by a 2 hour masonry wall. The roof system utilized is a 24 ga. Standing Seam metal.
Project Scope: Design/build of a 6,268 SF Fire Station for the Big Canoe POA to replace the existing single bay Fire Station #3 which had served the community well but was undersized and outdated for the Public Safety Department. The Second floor Shell Space will allow for future growth and additional functionality.
Schedule: Construction was completed in 8 months.
